3 Tips for Happy, Healthy Holidays!

As 2024 comes to a close, it's the perfect time to reflect, recharge, and prepare for an amazing new year. At The Rooted Table, we're here to help you end the year feeling your best and step into 2025 with ease and well-being.

Balance: First of all, eat the cookies, eat the mashed potatoes, eat the things that bring you unbridled joy! Better yet, share meals, share a bottle of wine, be present with your loved ones at the table. And if you're feeling a little out of balance, bloated or groggy, bring it back to the basics - maybe drink a couple glasses of warm lemon water, eat some leafy greens, enjoy a high protein breakfast and move your body, if and when you can. Balance is key. Living in the moment is key. Celebrating life is to embraced and approached with a reckless sense of indulgence, presence and abandon. These are the moments - enjoy them! And take care of yourself in the process.

Boundaries: Ever heard of time blocking? We love being protective of our time, energy and spirit during the can-be-chaotic holiday season. Long gone are the days of an overbooked calendar, running around shopping, cooking, cleaning, all the things! Setting boundaries around your time is in. Try blocking a couple days off in your calendar to just… be. Winter walks? Heck yes. Hot cup of coffee and a good book? Say no more. Binging Christmas movies and melting into the couch? Thought you'd never ask.

Intentions: How do you want to show up in 2025? Try choosing a couple words which embody how you want to feel in the New Year. Write them on a piece of paper and post it somewhere where you will see them everyday to remind yourself of your intentions. We love a pen to paper moment. And the coolest thing? Looking back at the end of the year to see the progress you've made towards your intentions. Call it manifestation, call it actualization, call it whatever you want - but we speak from experience, it works to remind yourself of your goals, dreams and desires on a regular basis.
